Fjallraven Kanken No.2 Black Mini

I’ve had the dark olive re-Kanken mini backpack for a while now, so I was excited to get this more premium version. Overall, this is a great bag and is a little more refined than the other mini Kankens.
The fabric of this bag is less structured, so it does tend to be a little floppy, and the material tends to gather dust and debris. (The re-Kanken fabric is more structured and does not attract dirt/dust). The leather handles and higher quality fasteners do make a difference, but if you just want an understated black mini Kanken, the black re-Kanken may be a better option at a lower price. Like all the mini Kankens, the zippers opening all the way to the bottom is very helpful, and the side pockets are handy for pens, keys, or a phone. The front pocket is small and awkward to open, so it is really only good for small items you don’t need to constantly access (perfect for wet wipes/glasses cleaner/sanitary pads). Worth it if you get it on sale or aren’t worried about cost.

I love this bag so much. The leather details make it slightly more “grown up” than the colourful reflective patch and the g1000 material is great. It feels extremely durable.
